Megami is but one of the countless victims displaced by the cruelty of the Garlean Empire. Having survived an attack that killed her family and erased her small village from the map, she eventually found herself in Ul'dah where she chanced to meet a handsome rogue and the wayward Sultana. This meeting would set her on a journey of self-discovery, sacrifice, loss, and eventually, love.Through countless trials, tribulations, and obstacles, she carved a name for herself and rose to prominence throughout the realm, earning herself the title "Warrior of Light." She captured the heart of the noble Lord Commander of Ishgard and, after the Final Days were averted, they got married in a secret, private ceremony with only their closest friends in attendance.Currently she is on vacation in Tural.

The Best Friends

Haurchefant Greystone was her dearest best friend and the loss she has felt most keenly to this day. She didn't know his true feelings for her until it was too late. His loss and the events that followed awakened the Darkness within her which eventually led to her becoming a hybrid DRK-WAR when, in a moment of greif-fueled savagery, her Esteem and her Inner Beast merged.Estinien: a friendship started during their quest to search for Ice Heart. Their bond became stronger when she and Alphinaud saved the doomed Dragoon's life, and the friendship has only deepened since.Tataru: Sister from another mister. Their friendship sparked immediately after meeting the first time and they grew even closer after the Bloody Banquet. Megami entrusted her finances to the Lalafell and, thanks to Tataru, Megami is now so wealthy she could have a place in the Ul'dahn Syndicate if she wanted to. She does not.G'raha: The man that made it possible for all of them to even be alive today. Without him, the vast majority of the star would be dead. He moved time and space to make it happen, and he did it all to save her, Megami. Though his romantic feelings are not requitted, she does love him and considers him a huge part of her life.

As if drawn together by fate, their lives were irrevocably intertwined from the first time they met at the intercessory in Camp Dragonhead, not knowing how drastically each would change the life of the other.Their love story unfolded gradually and delicately over the course of many moons, each too afraid to ruin their cherished friendship. Their devotion to their roles, coupled with their deep sense of honor and duty, shackled them to their responsibilities and kept them from seeking anything more than the occasional night of passion.Each unwilling to burden the other with tender feelings that may or may not have been reciprocated, they refrained from confessing until the Final Days were averted, after which they came to understand that life is not to be taken for granted, as tomorrows are never guaranteed.

And avid animal lover, Megami possesses an unnatural ability to befriend all manner of critters and beasts.

Note: After the events of Endwalker, she turned her personal island into an animal sanctuary where all of her mounts and pets live, taken care of by the mammets that work there.Unbeknownst to most, Estinien drops by every so often to help her. He says it reminds him of his younger days in his family's farm.
